Sea Walls Design - Wave Pressures - Overtopping
DeepEX software is the ultimate tool for the design and analysis of any deep excavation - retaining wall project. The standard version of the program can be used for the design of a big variety of common wall types and support systems used in marine projects such us cofferdams, anchored sheet pile walls, deadman systems and more. Now, with the new Sea Walls module activated (as an addition to our powerful Gravity Walls design add on), DeepEX can be also used for the design of gravity type quay walls, as well as, consider wave pressures and overtopping in the wall analysis.

The Sea Walls module can be activated in any DeepEX Version (the Gravity Walls addon is required)!
As a quay wall designer you have to examine a range of issues from earth pressures, seismic conditions, ship loads, wave pressures, and on. DeepEX is the only software that covers all these aspects in a single package. With easy to use wizards you can quickly generate from simple gravity walls to 3D caisson walls with infill zones. DeepEX brings together coastal, structural, and geotechnical engineering principles in one package to make your design life easier. What does this mean? Wave pressures can now be automatically calculated with a number of established methods. Build-in recommendations allow you to easily estimate initial wave heights and wave lengths. You can even estimate overtopping flow rates!
How the Module Works
DeepEX software has a superior interactive interface that allows direct access to all project items (wall sections, stratigraphy, supports and more). Any gravity retaining wall section can be graphically added and edited directly on the model area. The section properties can be edited through intuitive user friendly dialogs. Moreover, DeepEX implements a powerful Model Wizard that can be used to generate any common quay wall type directly on the model area, so we can actually create any composite model in minutes.
The procedure to create and analyze any quay wall type within the program is summarized in the following steps:
