Example: Gravity Wall Design in DeepEX
A. Introduction
In this example we will design a gravity retaining wall with the tools of DeepEX software. In order to analyze a gravity wall, the additional, optional Gravity Walls module is required.
DeepEX can design any gravity wall shape type, calculating the moments, shears, soil and water pressures, as well as, the sliding and overturning safety factors. We can easily select any of the available retaining wall types and define the section dimensions, as well as, the gravity wall reinforcement.
The model will be generated in DeepEX, and it will be analyzed with the classical Limit Equilibrium Analysis method.
