In this example we will design an anchored soldier pile and lagging wall, with two tieback rows, supporting a 30ft excavation. The model and analysis have been designed with DeepEX - Shoring Design Software, using all DeepEX analysis methods (Limit Equilibrium - Non-Linear - Finite Element Analysis).
A. Project Description
This design example presents a case with an anchored soldier pile and lagging wall (Steel beams HP16x101 @ 8ft) with 2 tieback rows, supporting a 30ft excavation. Three soil layers are considered, and a 0.6 ksf surcharge is included at the top. The figure below presents the completed anchored wall model.
The analysis is performed with all available analysis methods in DeepEX software - Limit Equilibrium Analysis, Non-Linear Analysis (Elastoplastic Winkler Springs) and Finite Element Analysis.
